Plants enChant ~ in circular devotion to Plants, People, and Songs<\/h4>\n

This gathering can be summed as: \u00a0 Singing Alive<\/a> + herbal gathering = Plants EnChant! \u00a0It is intended to develop and strengthen \u2018medicine culture\u2019 thru the healing\u00a0arts of holistic education, song-sharing, life-as-ceremony, and supportive community.\u00a0\u00a0 It recognizes \u2018medicines\u2019 as the force of nature that cures dis-ease, that takes us from being sick to being free. \u00a0This event aligns more with \u2018deep herbalism<\/a>\u2018, which cultivates a relationship thru plants to the healing presence of Nature, a pro-active approach to health, and less with the \u2018shallow herbalism\u2019 of \u2018take the tincture and make the symptoms go away\u2019, a greener version of the pharmaceutical model. \u00a0It recognizes plants as the greenprint of all medicines. \u00a0It acknowledges plants as elders in the society of nature as it exists on planet earth, and therefore teachers to the adolescent human species. In their yet more primal aspect, plants are \u2018umbilical cords to Gaia\u2019 (Rosemary Gladstar); \u00a0they \u2018help us remember\u2019 (Stephen Buhner). \u00a0As such, they can keep us aligned with the healthy functioning of the planetary metabolism, mirrored in our own inner and social ecologies.\u00a0 All plants (and fungi), are teachers, if related to assuch. \u00a0Plants enChant is intended to honor and give space for their wisdom, to activate our abilities to receive it, and put this guidance into practice through the cultural forms and ways they affirm. \u00a0We invite all who feel called to the Way of the plants.<\/p>\n

Singing Alive<\/a> ~ Teaching and sharing gathering of sacred song circles<\/h4>\n

\"\"Birthed in 2007,\u00a0<\/strong>Singing Alive<\/strong>, is a progeny of the Pacific NW (Cascadia bio-region) eco-festivals, medicine circles, and community choirs. \u00a0 Its\u00a0intent is to teach, share, and invigorate the songs that travel thru this great Family; \u00a0 to hold space for the songs to do their healing work,\u00a0to brew the melodic magic of collective singing. It\u00a0is about bringing people together who feel called to awaken, and nuture their spiritual life thru communion with songs (and prayers, chants, blessings, and so om) of celebration of life in this temple universe. Such songs clarify our lives, strengthen our communities, and foster personal and planetary renewal. \u00a0At Singing Alive<\/strong>\u00a0we gather to share them, and ourselves, in a safe, welcoming environment. Our goal is to open hearts, and the songs are the keys. These songs are multi-cultural, coming to us from many eras and lands far and near.\u00a0Together they tell a perennial story, a Gaian dharma, so often forgotten, yet so joyfully remembered, of the Great work of spiritual evolution, of earth-conscious living and peaceful co-existence. By singing this story we come home to Ourselves and perform the Dream of re-Creation we have so longed to live.<\/p>\n
